The Jolly Farmer is one of the few remaining family-owned and run independent freehouses in the South East of England.
We aim to provide our guests with the highest possible standard of food, drink and accommodation in clean, attractive surroundings complimented by a warm welcome and a pleasant atmosphere.
A traditional ale house at heart, we have a constantly changing selection of up to 8 real ales, sourced from breweries big and small across Great Britain. Teamed with delicious, home-cooked food, made with the freshest, local ingredients, we think you're going to love what we have to offer.

We try to be consistent in our opening hours but sometimes, for reasons out of our control, we are unable to offer our normal service. It’s always worth a quick call to check that we are open when you need us to be.
Accommodation
At the Jolly Farmer we offer bed and breakfast in three beautiful double rooms, and a full suite. Filled with historic oak beams, wattle and daub walls, and oodles of character, its the perfect place for any stay.
All prices include VAT @ 20% and are room only rates. Breakfasts are available from 8:30-10 Monday to Friday and 9-10 Saturday and Sunday. cooked breakfasts are £13.50 continental £9.50
Extra child beds are available in rooms 4 & 5 0nly at a cost of £20 per night, cots for babies are available free of charge, please let us know your requirements at the time of booking.
We allow dogs/pets in all our rooms with an additional cleaning charge of £12 per dog/pet, per night. We ask that guests bring a suitable bed for their dog/pet, and do not allow them on any furniture.
Smoking is not permitted in any of our rooms.

Our accommodation is available for occupation over the Christmas period 23rd -27th December. The Minimum let is two nights and breakfast and room service are not available on the following dates…..25th, 26th Dec & 1st Jan.
Double Rooms
We have three beautiful en suite double rooms, each with their own individual period features, All double rooms feature full en-suite bathrooms, complementary hot drinks, toiletries and sherry.
Priced FROM £90 per night for single occupancy, or FROM £115 per night for double occupancy.
Suite
Our full suite features a king size bed, a separate living room and en-suite shower room. Exposed wattle and daub walls, and views of Bramley's historic medieval church give our suite a unique character. Hot drinks, toiletries, and sherry included.
Priced at FROM £130.00 per night for single occupancy, or FROM £155.00 per night for double occupancy.

Our carefully curated wine offering is sourced from the old world and new, providing a great selection for all tastes and budgets. We also offer a selection of rare fine reds, from some of the worlds best producers.
We're all about the beer
For over half a century, we've been well known for our commitment to fantastic beer, we offer up to 8 daily changing real ales, sourced from breweries big and small from across Great Britain. A further 10 premium lagers and craft beers from England and Europe can be found on our counter, as well as two draught English ciders. If none of these take your fancy, our beer lineup is completed by a range of bottled beers, with something for every taste.

Grumpsters (3.9%) traditional copper bitter. Hop Tipple (4.2%) This delicious IPA won a SIBA Gold Award in 2017 for the South East, making it one of the finest IPAs in the UK. Maris Otter and Munich malts from Britain and Germany provide a platform from which the Cascade and Chinook hops shine out. Dry hopping adds a bold finish to this thoroughly thirst-quenching golden coloured beer. ESB (5.4%) Extra Special Bitter. Premium strength, traditional well malted copper ale.

Hop Idol (4.4%) An American IPA style beer. Brewed with a blend of 6 American hops. Microbus (4.0%) Micro Bus is a pale ale journey with hints of grapefruit and citrus leading to a rosy destination. This session pale ale has been brewed for lazy summer days drinking with friends. Mosaic (4.0%) Refreshing golden ale with rose, lemon and grapefruit notes. Made using Mosaic hops from the US west coast.

Double Swan (4.5%) A very pale ale brewed using the finest Maris Otter Pale Ale malt, and hopped with English and American hops, this refreshing beer has a floral aroma and well balanced bitterness with a slightly sweet mouthfeel.

Rutland Osprey (4.0%) A refreshing light golden brew, whose flavour is complex and mellow with a finely balanced floral aroma and smooth bitterness. . Zahara (4.2%) Our first foray into American hops, produced an extra pale, zesty little number. Hooped with predominantly Cashmere and Cascade hops.

Yorkshire Pale (4.0%) Cropton Yorkshire Pale is a popular, session-strength (around 4% ABV) pale ale from Cropton Brewery in North Yorkshire, known for its light, smooth character with tropical fruit notes like mango and pineapple, offering a "new world" pale ale experience in a traditional English style.

Special English Ale (4.8%) Our multiple award winnng Special English Ale is a robust and full bodied Premium Ale. We use a dash of chocolate malt to give it a deep copper colour, while the finest English hops give the ale a hint of berries. It's a well balanced, smooth and moreish ale. Barlet Best (4.1%) This classic traditional bitter showcases a fruity, complex malty flavour profile with consistent character throughout.
